Wilma's personal statement
I started working with dogs and cats 13 years ago through a shelter and fell in love with matching the right animal to the right owner. I decided to further my educational training. I attended college courses to become an accredited certified trainer for both dogs and cats. This advanced training led me to instruct classes at the shelter. I was honored to play a role in tightening the bond between handler and pet. This led me to venture out and start my own business. I believe that going into the environment where handler and pet are most comfortable is the ideal way to educate and train. This ideal has proved to be advantageous to my customer base and most importantly their fur babies/fur seniors.
I continue to volunteer for the shelter that had given me my start by fostering cats and dogs in my home from 3 days old to senior citizens. Every dog and cat have their own personalities built into them according to their breed and their own individual style. These types of unique attributes are all considered when evaluating each individual pet, therefore will also aid each individual owner to understand their pet much better. God has given me a love for doing this with responsible owners. I am hoping that when you enter my classroom you can walk out on the last day saying your relationship with your dog is stronger and your dog is a great family member.
